THE MATHEMATICAL ALGORITHM FOR A MULTI-CHANNEL CTA ANEMOMETER IN SPHERICAL COORDINATES

Abstract:
This paper presents the mathematical algorithm results of a test that determines the fluid flow velocity vector (direction, intensity and orientation), based on voltages measured on a multi-channel hot-wire anemometer. Since dependence of voltage on the constant temperature hot-wire anemometer is a non-linear function of velocity, inverse function is also non-linear and has several mathematically correct solutions. The mathematical algorithm successfully determined the fluid velocity vector if the range of instrument operation is limited to the values of spherical angles 69 and 69  , for value of 1.0 h , i.e. 69  and 68 , for value of 1.1 h .
