Abstract:
During the exploitation of the hydraulic system, operator or maintenance crew must monitor certain physical and chemical properties of the hydraulic oil. Service life of hydraulic oil depends on the type of oil in use and application of the hydraulic system. In order to recognize which parameters needs to be monitored, this paper describes a model for identifying and monitoring certain oil characteristics. Model outputs are decisions about future oil conditioning activities or time of oil change.
